Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

It is the learning hours that define whether a qualification is known as a Diploma, Certificate, or Award.

  • Diplomas take the longest time to complete. They are the most widespread and in-depth qualifications at each level.
  • Certificates are a little shorter, covering essential knowledge at each level.
  • Awards are very short, generally covering only one subject.

Depending on the subject you're studying, there may be only one length of qualification available at each level, or there may be a choice of Diplomas, Certificates, or Awards so that you can choose how comprehensive your qualification will be.

Every course is different, so on each course page, you'll find information on the average completion time.

The time taken by a course depends on the study method and course timetable.

This includes lectures, tutorials, or supervised study. Although this is not compulsory for all learners; some students may need more or less support to achieve the qualification they have chosen.
